Choose a goal
A realistic Ramadan goal for every age
Ages 4–6
Letters and short surahs
One Qaida lesson or one short surah (like Al-Ikhlas) a week. Five minutes a day is plenty.
Ages 7–10
1 page a day
About 10 minutes. Children still on Qaida can do half a page of their book instead.
Ages 11–14
2–5 pages a day
Enough to finish Juz ʿAmma or one to two juz across the month, with one Tajweed rule each week.
Adults
20 pages a day
The full Quran in 30 days. New to reading? 10 pages a day finishes half the Quran — still a huge win.
Tip: write the goal at the top of the planner together with your child. A goal they chose is a goal they keep.
FAQ
Ramadan Quran questions
How many pages a day do I need to read to finish the Quran in Ramadan?
The standard Madani Mushaf has 604 pages, so you need about 20 pages a day to finish in 30 days. The easiest way is 4 pages after each of the five daily prayers — around 10–15 minutes each time.
When does Ramadan 2027 start?
Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the sighting of the new moon, with Eid al-Fitr around 9–10 March 2027. Check with your local mosque for the confirmed date.
What is a realistic Quran goal for a child in Ramadan?
Small and daily beats big and occasional. Ages 4–6: one Qaida lesson or short surah a week. Ages 7–10: one page a day. Ages 11–14: two to five pages a day. A goal your child finishes builds love for the Quran; a goal they abandon builds the opposite.
