Getting started
How do online Quran classes work?
Each class is a live, one-on-one video lesson on Zoom with a certified tutor. The tutor shares the lesson on screen, listens to every letter you read and corrects you in real time. Classes are 30 minutes (45–60 for weekend and Hifz plans) and scheduled in your local time zone.
What age can my child start learning Quran online?
Children can start from age 4 with Noorani Qaida. Lessons for 4–7 year-olds are short (20–30 minutes) and playful, focused on letter recognition. From around age 7, children can manage structured 30-minute lessons with applied Tajweed.
Are the classes suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. We start from the Arabic alphabet with Noorani Qaida, so no prior knowledge is needed — for children, adults and reverts alike.
Are your teachers certified?
Every NurVerse tutor holds an Ijazah or a degree from a recognised Islamic institution, and is vetted for Tajweed accuracy, teaching ability with children, and English communication before teaching.
Can I choose a female Quran teacher?
Yes. Female tutors (Ustadhas) are available for girls, sisters and women, and male tutors for boys and men. You choose your preference when you book.
How much do online Quran classes cost?
Plans start at $35 per month for 2 classes a week (about $4.40 per 30-minute class). Our most popular plan is $65 per month for 4 classes a week. Quarterly, 6-month, sibling and new-Muslim discounts are available.
How does the free trial work?
Book online and our coordinator contacts you on WhatsApp, usually within an hour. You get 3 complete free classes with a matched tutor. No card is required and there is no obligation to enrol.
What do I need to get started?
A stable internet connection and a laptop, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone. We use Zoom. All lesson materials are provided digitally.
What time zones do you teach in?
All of them. Classes are available across US, UK, Canadian and Australian time zones, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
What if we miss a class?
Reschedule up to 12 hours in advance by WhatsApp at no cost. If a tutor is unavailable, a qualified substitute steps in so your learning never stops.
How do parents track progress?
Parents receive regular progress reports on WhatsApp, can sit in on any class, and higher plans include session recordings and weekly reports.
Can I switch plans or cancel?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel at the start of any billing month by sending us a WhatsApp message. There are no long-term contracts.
About the courses
How long does Noorani Qaida take to finish?
Most children complete Noorani Qaida in 3–6 months with 3–4 classes per week. Adults usually finish in 2–4 months. Your tutor sets the pace — a strong foundation matters more than speed.
What age can my child start Noorani Qaida?
From age 4. Young children get short, playful 20–30 minute lessons focused on letter recognition and sounds.
What is the difference between Qaida and Nazra?
Noorani Qaida teaches the building blocks — letters, vowels and symbols. Nazra is reading the actual Quran fluently from the Mushaf while applying Tajweed.
Can adults who read slowly join?
Yes. Many of our Nazra students are adults who learned as children but never became fluent. Your tutor diagnoses your gaps in the first trial class.
Can Tajweed really be learned online?
Yes — one-on-one video lets the teacher hear and see every letter and correct it instantly. It is often more effective than group classes, where individual mistakes are missed.
How long does it take to learn Tajweed?
Core Tajweed rules take about 6–12 months with regular practice. Mastery — reciting naturally without thinking about rules — develops over years of guided recitation.
How long does it take to memorise the whole Quran online?
Typically 2–5 years. A full-time child student with 5 classes per week may finish in 2–3 years; part-time adults usually take longer. Consistent daily revision matters more than speed.
What do Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil mean?
Sabaq is the new lesson, Sabqi is revision of recently memorised pages, and Manzil is the rotating review of everything memorised so far.
